Greetings Fellow DM3 Homeowners!
The Aug 12th Board Meeting Minutes are now posted on our website, desertmeadows3.com. The full financial report is not posted because the site is open to public access. If you would like a copy of the financial report let me know at secretary@desertmeadows3.com.
Highlights of the meeting are as follows:
With our Monsoon rains, weeds are running rampant. Some yards are quite overgrown and need to be tended to. Inspections will resume again after the Monsoon season is over. If you can get your yard cleaned up before then Grounds & Weeds won’t have to send you a notice which makes their job easier. Please remember – they are your neighbors, they are volunteers and just trying to help keep our property values up. Most of us don’t want to live in a run-down neighborhood.
Speaking of volunteers – the Nominations Committee will be meeting in September to organize the 2027 ballot. There will be three (3) openings on the Board. Please give some serious thought to volunteering. We are a very inexpensive community to live in with our HOA dues only $35.00 per year which we can keep affordable because our Board and Committees consist of volunteers. If we had to pay a management company to oversee our HOA, our dues would be much more expensive, and we would still need a Board of Directors anyway. More information will be coming to you from the Nominations Committee after their meeting.
The next Social will be a BBQ to be held in October or November. More information from the Social Committee will be coming soon.
There is concern over a few ongoing things happening in our neighborhood which are violations of our CCRs. Upon the advice of our attorney, we will work to get a few of our CCRs amended to help clarify the intent of the CCR so they will stand up in court if the violators don’t curb their behaviors and we have to seek a court injunction. Amending a CCR will be done via a written ballot and will need a majority member approval (112 votes) to pass. More information will be coming soon on that.
Most of our neighbors comply with the CCRs and live peacefully in our community. It’s the few that don’t, that make it difficult for the rest of us.
Thank you.
Debra Woolley, DM3 HOA Secretary
